The summer holidays are over and the action has begun. Business owners returning to work are spoilt for choice when it comes to the number of seminars, courses, meetings, road shows, masterclasses, workshops and other events, run by business brokers and other business intermediaries. Some aim to educate, all hope to sign you up and get your instructions to sell your business.

BCMS have theirs in Plymouth (20/09), Luton (04/10), Oxford (18/10), Newport (25/10), Manchester (26/10) and also London, Liverpool, Cambridge and Leeds later in the year. Free.
Avondale’s pitch is on 23/11 in London.
Strategic Corporate Finance have dates of 28/09 (Sheffield), Cheshire (23/11) and in Nottingham and Wakefield early next year.

And there are numerous others. Which one should you attend? Our advice is to not choose the one nearest to you or the one on the most convenient date but instead to research the brokers / intermediaries and attend only events hosted by the firms you have shortlisted.
