Hot Business List – Sectors Most In Demand Last Month
Business Brokerage Press publishes the latest of their updates on the “hottest” business sectors. This one covers July 2017. It is compiled from information supplied by the business marketplace, businessesforsale.com and lists the top ten small business sectors and the top ten sectors for M&A deals.
Their top three small businesses were e-commerce businesses, restaurants and convenience stores. In the M&A sector i.e. larger businesses, the top three were restaurants, convenience stores and gas stations. (Gas stations? That’s your clue that these are US-only stats).
Given the American interest in cannabis, could be weed that heads the next list? Today’s news includes a piece on cannabis website, Herb, raising in excess of $4 million in, er, “seed capital”!
So, plenty of good businesses around for the eager investor? Not so, according to many investors, who maintain that most of the businesses being listed for sale are poor investments at unreasonable prices.
